Think the main thing is you have to go into a GTR with your eyes open and be weary if something doesn't go wrong then yout not talking Evo sort of costs to fix it.

I had and Evo 9 FQ360 Mr which I tuned, tracked used daily and there was a decent cost jump doing to a GTR.

Even normal wear and tear items likes brakes and tyres are a jump in cost.

Question for you Evo experts, anyone know what happened to all the Police Interceptor Evo’s, surely some survived?
There must have been a lot of spares available when they were retired, hopefully not all scrapped!

I was an Evo X owner, 7 before that and even the enemy Subaru but GTR is a different price level for maintaining. Get a reasonably priced specialist and stick with them.

Before you ask, Stage 4 is best for the road and neighbours. Anything more only do if you intend to do strip and track.
Unless properly researched and sorted go for year 2011+, best for comfort 2017+. Prices are sky high at present. Audi r8 even more......

What I did before buying my car was I hired a Porsche Turbo s, an Aston Martin and a Porsche Cayman. I loved the Cayman. Found the Aston uncomfortable and so the Porsche but found the GTR driving experience much more analogue and involving (I brought a MY 2017). I would suggest you go to a car hire company and get for a day (yes its gonna add to the bill) but at least you will be sure when looking back.
