I guess it's not what you want to hear but, on a car than can and possibly will do silly speeds, I just wouldn't risk a catastrophic failure.Hi all,
I have some 305/30/20's and I just notice that there is a crack line between my treads on the inside. Is it safe? I don't track, just regular street use.
The tire is Pirelli Pzero MC1.
thx.:runaway:

Not saying it would happen, just could happen and IF it did you would kick yourself, assuming you lived to tell the tale, for not changing it.
Risk v reward not good on this one I think.
That is why most caravans have blow outs, it's perishing due to age normally.
JMHO of course
Good Luck

This damage looks odd - isn't it worth taking this up with Pirelli to see what they say as the tyres look hardly worn ?
+1 not worth the risk for a few quidI guess it's not what you want to hear but, on a car than can and possibly will do silly speeds, I just wouldn't risk a catastrophic failure.

275/305 MPSSs favoured here....Looks like 285/285 square or 285/295 MPSS's. :bawling::squintdan
I have this setup, and like it.. less twitchy back end of the car..275/305 MPSSs favoured here.
As others have said, go the 275 / 305 route.Hi Satan,
thx for the reply. Yes, looks like the crack is spreading in a circle. If I was the only driver I guess I would have risked it as its a daily driver to work, but the mrs often takes it to work (whilst I commute) so that's the risk factor I'm not willing to take.
Oh well, looks like it will bite the dust. The other tire looks fine without the crack.
