Evening all;)

Just wanted to tap into the sea of knowledge here and ask for opinions on the following...

I have a standardish car so don't want to use high G tyres but have used federal RS-R's for the past couple of years and touch wood haven't broken much..

My main considerations are (in this order):
1 Cost
2 Durability (not just how long it lasts but how long it grips!)

I've shortlisted the following:
Yokohama AD08R 245/40/17 £140
Federal 595 RS-R 235/45/17 £90 (hoping for something better that grips/lasts longer)
Kuhmo XS KU36 245/40/17 £80

Is there anything I've missed??

Best choice for mostly track miles?

The likes of R888, A048 etc I don't want to risk...

Many thanks:thumbsup:

Sam

Cheers Alex:thumbsup:

Dunlops are a bit expensive aren't they?

Also even in hard compound pretty slick like...

You're probably right..

Was hoping I might be able to get a tyre that grips/lasts longer than the federals. They're great when new, just not so after..

Hmmmmm

Hi Sam, am well thank you, having a double garage built at the moment for the 34 to rest in.

Yeah standard sump- I don't track the 34 any more but will use the dunlops on the Clio track car. Heard they have a better construction than the others.

How's goosey going?
