thought you guys might like to know this who might be considering shelling out £1200 for the nissan tracker
I rang my tracker company which i already use for my porsche to see how much costs, they do a scheme called tracker for life and provide a free tracker, the model is the Tracker Horizon form tracker.co.uk
Its a Cat5 tracker and also has its own Thatcham category HQ or or something the guy said, as its the only one that uses VHF tracking in addition to the usual GPS, etc, so if its taken in a container or underground carpark ,etc, they can still track it. Also has movement sensor
I ordered one today from tracker - £149 fitted (apparently the box of tricks is free). £132annual subscription or can upgrade to all of life ownership within the first 6 months, seems a good deal !!!!
So is everyone not taking the nissan one (1250) its really expensive for a traker?I dont really want to pay this, but will nissan moan about warranty is i use horizon?
I have a Horizon; I think you'll find it isn't Cat5 because it doesn't have GSM, so you can't call it and ask where it is, or monitor the backup battery
Just so you know.. althought it should work in a container and in some countries abroad (tracker horizon) its not always the case..still worth it though as its better then nothing and a lot of cars do get found with them unless the thief is clued up.
hmm, well i'm not particularly worried that its just for free, more importantly thats its the best for the job, can anyone recommend a better tracker?
