I'm thinking about getting this one as I need a low entry;

but am concerned because the GTR is 1.8T.

Would you guys consider there's enough factor of safety being 200kg away from it's advertised limit?

Your not lifting the entire car tho remember.... Also 2t is the safe limit to be advertised some may lift 2.1t others may lift 2.5t

Good price, just sounds too cheap to have the quality.
I've been looking at a low profile jack in costco. Looks like the twin of a snapon jack.
just a shade under 100 quid

I guess for the amount of time you will actually need to use a jack on a 35 the price is about right!

however I do like to get the wheels off to give them a good clean. Also I service the mondingo and friends cars so I need a jack that can take a little punishment.

I got this and its good quality and fits spot on!

I got the Costco one a few years ago, works a treat and is great for lowered cars. The jacking pad for the gtr is very useful.

In fact my Clarke jack is similar size to the one posted up top, it does the job but not ideal and you got to put a lot of effort into in and that's on an R32.

Looks like a good piece of kit. I have something very similar in steel (3T limit I think) which is amazingly heavy so if you can stretch to an ali version your back will thank you.

Mine is like that too being made of steel and weighs 40kg lol but still much better than those cheap little £30 ones as the jacking pad area is much bigger and wont damage the underside of the car like alot of those cheap ones will with such a small lifting area plus i always use wood for more protection too.

I was thinking of buying 2 costco ones. They look brilliant.
My 2.5 ton halfrauds jack rapped its bangers in last week..... needed a new one though as it didn't fit under the GTR
