Evening all

been looking all over the forum but my heads fell off

am in the process of getting a new engine built for my gtr as it went pop first lockdown ( lucky me )

so been looking around at turbo choices I would like to push the 1000bhp level but not essential but would be gutted with 960 馃ぃ

is there a go to choice at that sort of level with not to much lag ? Funds will only get me so far after forking out for a new block and uprated gearbox so would have to be stock manifolds any input much appreciated.

I鈥檇 be going 6758 efr鈥檚 they are a proven turbo time and time again.

do a little search on the forum and there鈥檚 enough proof to back them up.

I鈥檝e got efr 6758s and made 962bhp on a built engine. It goes back neck month for gearbox build then we can turn it up and just break the 1000 talk to JM Imports the Garrett G30s are getting popular also.

stock manifold or litchfields own?
on e85 or pump?
do you have a 100-200kmh or 60-130mph time?

Nice, i thought about 850hp was the max the efr6758's could make (stock manifold and pump fuel)

I am at about 800-850hp with them on stock gears. 4,8s 100-200.

With 960hp you should be at 4,2 maybe.
Please share your time once you have had a good run!

Your right, I did think that after re reading the part of the post where he says stock manifolds.

if you want a solid 1000hp.. go with the EFR7163s or G30s 770s.. 6758s will do it, but will be at the limits tbf.

yeah am not a fan of pushing turbo to absolute limits efr6758 do seem a good unit but for all the money this is going to cost me it would not be a happy bunny falling short.

I also didn't realise you can only get the Lichfield kit fitted at there place which was a bit disappointing as it's not easy to move a car around with a blown engine

i guess it is because they put a lot of money (r&d) into their own manifold unit. makes it a little harder for people to just buy it, send it to china and copy it ;)

They do offer turbos with oem manifolds too, also have their own car transporters to pickup/return cars too.

It's a bit backwards tho asking them to pick a car up from another specialist to fit the turbos to send it back to the first garage

I'd skip EFR6758. I had 6958's and maxed them out at 1067 BHP on E50 (low % during winter). Around 1080 on E85. But they lost steem up top.
Go G30-770 or EFR7163 and you hit the goal easy with low stress on turbos.
Good luck!

Are you talking about their manifold kit or the OEM manifold hybrids?

If the latter, then they're made by turbo dynamics and can get them a few places not just LM.
