i was in complete shock the other day, a friend and i fitted a new cambelt and i then fitted a new set of plugs, NGK BKR8EiX to be preceise, and i cant believe how much better the car feels, its alot crisper, more responsive and just feels like its had a new lease of life!!!
well pleased!!!
also has anybody tried the newish boost controllers from AEM?
if so, is it any good, im thinking of getting one thats all.
Bill.
You dont need to remove the aircon to do the timing belt, The hardest part on mine was getting the pulley off which had siezed a bit and needed coaxing off with a puller (there isnt much space to get the puller I had in there)
i had a friend do it who lives a stones throw away, if i ask him to do it for a few quid im sure he maybe interested? i will PM you when i see him tomorrow if thats ok.
there is 2 M8 threads in the pulley, the tool screws into these and then another M12 bolt winds out against the pulley nut lifting the whole lot off. its not that bad looking back after its been done.
