I was at middlehursts a few weeks ago with a mate whos ordered a car for feb 2010, (id actually gone to collect my car after having both bumpers resprayed - yes white car ) and Gary was showing me round the new nav car.

He did say that they can upgrade the non nav cars to new nav spec, and the cost? Go on have a guess

If its less than £1900, i can see there being a few unhappy people. But knowing Nissan and the GT-R tax i say £3k

Stop teasing and tell us!

I heard a rumour of £9k? Whatever it is, it's highly unlikely to be worth it...

Quite a lot of money

I need a replacement stopper for the dash 12v socket; I wonder how much that will cost:nervous:

Yeah, just saw that. So about £6k-£7k... :runaway:

I'll stick with my TomTom 940 Live thanks. Especially as the camera database on the GT-R sat nav is only updateable (max) once a year with an update DVD costing over a hundred quid.

As you said in the other thread, it would be far more financially prudent to sell your non-nav car and buy a sat nav car.

Well Gary at MH told me around £10k  but that was to upgrade to new hi res screen, as david said it would be cheaper to sell and then buy a nav car if thats what you wanted, Ill stick with my Tom Tom

Very happy with my nav n go which shows on OEM screen. At least it was easy to install combined with front and rear cam. 10 K would get me enkei rims, winter tires, a Ti exhaust and a box of chocolates for the family's financial director....

Read your original post on nav n go.

Not sure what you said the price was for sat nav only, could you please clarify and are you still happy with the system?

Well, I ordered it from Nissan which surely is not cheapest option. Paid 1600 Euro for that nav system + 1000 Euro for installing it + installing front + rear cam. Surely should be possible to get it a lot cheaper. Saw recently what Nissan charged somebody who purchased + installed front + rear cam at my HPC and fell over from the price. Was something like 2000 Euro for the front + rear cam. Crazy.

As for the nav system, it is great, nice 3 d maps, very very clear. 2 downsides, sound is a bit too soft and it has no traffic info, so it won't recommend alternative routes in case of traffic jams. Updates come per SD card, think not very regularly. Then again, Nissan OEM system does not get updated more often it seems. It has camera locations, tons of places of interest. Really very happy with it. Don't use it that often so more than good enough for me!

Tom -do you have any videos of the nav/cameras working? sounds like a great combo.

Does anyone know of any specialists in the uk who can do a similar thing?
