Just picked up my first R32 GTR which im fairly happy with. Ive been told it has uprated diff however im new to these. Are they meant to be super clunky when cornering low speeds and it feels bearly impossible to turn when reversing as it sounds and feels like back end is about to explode? Over 30 mph car seems fine its modified on garrett twins estimated 450 bhp. Any help is grately appreciated.

Do you know what brand?

Get some decent 75w-140 in it. Motul Gear Competition , Castrol Syntrax LS, Millers CRX LS, Ravenol USVO Racing, Fuchs Titan Sintopoid LS etc.

Can use extra LSD additive if it’s still too noisy. Or an even thicker oil, OS Giken LSD oil is 80w-250.

ATS Carbon are quiet.
Although I had to rebuild mine as it was the early version with non hardened steel plates.

Also worth checking tyre pressures are equal left to right. I didn't after mine was laid up for a while and there was a 10psi difference between left and right front tyres and it sounded like a front brake caliper bolt had fallen out and the caliper was being hit by the wheel spokes ! Evened them out and it was fine.

The Redline LSD additive is quite good at softening the unpleasantness of a plated LSD.

Uprated plated diffs are a bit agricultural. Particuarly when warm and reversing on lock.

Cars been in for a full inspection and they have said all the rear bushes are worn and need replacing. Im thinking of fully polybushing the full underneith however nobody want to do the job for me so im going to have a go myself. Im thinking superpro gear with anti roll bars. Im unsure what bushes i will need but like i said i want the lot doing so its done then.

Motul 90pa. been using it on my Nismo LSD for the past 5 years helps a great deal to quieten the diff.
