I have bought an r34 GTR engine, which was remove 10+ years ago from a UK spec r34 GTR after it experianced a melted piston within 500 miles.

The engine was removed and replaced with a new factory unit and dry stored until I bought it.

The reason I bought it was for the cylinderhead, but the condition of the engine apart from the bore (which will easily rebore) is astounding. It literally looks like new.

I am looking to sell on the parts I will not use and would like some advice on what they are worth. As stated the parts are litterally as new condition

What do people think the value of the following is (individual prices appreciated)

* R34 GTR front diff (I want to keep the sump)
* R34 GTR front crown wheel and pinion (I want to keep the sump)
* R34 GTR full cover obviously red and again as new
* R34 GTR cams
* R34 GTR cam buckets
* R34 GTR Crank pulley

i would think you should be able to get almost the new price are they are almost new
it does seem like no-one really knows what the new prices are. i guess you could ask a mian dealer?

Dunno, but they are still second hand standard parts at the end of the day...I'd hazard a guess there won't be an awful lot of interest? (Other than in the covers which will probably go for a few quid!)

I might be interested in the engine covers, how much do you want for them, and any pictures ?

you probably have £5-600 in the covers and block, bugger all value in the other bits I would think.

I thought the diff and final drive ratio may be of interest to those doing a getrag conversion on an r32/33 but they would also need an r34 rear diff.

I think the cams may be of interest to someone with a GTS as an upgrade.

Are you selling the whole engine minus the head and sump??
