Hi,

I'm after a good starting point to set a pair of vernier pulleys.

Stock RB26 with HKS 256deg inlet cam & 264deg exhaust cam.

Just need a good starting point to set them to, the car is not boosting properly at the moment and I think it's the current setting on the pulleys.

At the moment the inlet pulley is advanced about 20deg and the exhaust cam is on zero.

Appreciate your suggestions
Cheers, Ant.

Start straight up, get on the dyno, make one change at a time, look for the change and keep going untill you have it set where your happy with.

What does HKS say to run the cams @?

I would think it would be inlet 110 BTDC exhaust 113 ATDC, maybe this is the best palce to start with , but just zeroing the cam in on the dials isnt any good, you need to have a base setting so get the cam diale din correctly at the makers stock settings.

Advancing the inlet cam to say 103 will make the car spool up on boost earlier but not rev out , retarding the inlet cam to say 115 will make the car spool up on boost later but rev on later , Exhaust cam work is a little more difficult to expain.

Get a V-cam kit fitted gives you best of both worlds....

Hope this helps.
