right it looks like my viscous fan is not engaging properly causing the water temp to rise! ( i can stop it when the engine is hot) wondering if anybody has changed one them self? is it hard?:bowdown1:

its probably reverse threaded (clockwise untightens it, anti-clockwise tightens it) and needs a 28-32mm (huge one) if im not mistaken.

while you're undoing the big bolt on the back, you need something to hold the front side in place while you're undoing it so that it doesnt spin freely. a big L shaped hex works nicely if you dont have a proper tool. use it against the mechanism (aka fan clutch) bolts at the front of the fan to hold it in place. the fan clutch is replacable without having to get a new fan.

horrendously expensive for such a part lol even tho i dont suggest going used on parts like these, its prob a good idea

it holds the clutch in 4 places

The fan is bolted on with 4 M5 bolts. Easy job done in situe.
