there are stroker kits, expensive bore and hone jobs - no two ways about it, getting your RB26 up to 2.8L costs a lot. And getting 3 liters - well, there's that $15,000 OSG kit.
So, what's wrong with the VQ30DETT? Lots of them around, would probably improve balance a bit as the engine can sit a bit further back in the engine bay, and most telling, well, Nissan went to that engine for the last and imho best JGTC car - the awesome R34 widebodies. Yet there seems to be a comparative lack of tuning parts for the car, compared with the RB series. Is it simply that a VQ block cannot mate up with a Skyline drivetrain? Or is the V6 configuration just a lot weaker than a straight 6?
