Taken a little longer than expected with other projects on the go. We have 10 kits VR38 (R35) coil conversion kits available for the RB26. Retains the use of the plug cover (small trimming at the rear required) removes the need for the igniter. Dwell time data can be supplied if requested.

Available beginning of January.

Price of fitting kit is £155 plus postage.

We have two BNR32 looms that will plug and play into the VR38 coils and bypass the igniter. £180 plus postage

VR38 Coils can easily be sourced either genuine Nissan 22448-JF00B or Hitachi IGC0079.

Yes they have been tested and everything works as expected. Not with standard wiring in the case of R32/33 GTR. Modified or replacement harness is needed. R34 does not need a harness replacement.

So do you supply replacement harnesses? Or know of one that's suitable? Wouldn't fancy fitting these coils on standard 25 yr old wiring

What did you do to the Harness on that car? Assuming it's a 32. Is it easier to modify standard harness or just fit a 34 harness?

Coil connectors are different on R32/33 GTR compared to R34 GTR. So they need to be replaced also wires to bypass igniter needs to be reworked. We can provide complete harnesses on request. We have one R32 harness left.

So the Harnesses you supply are uprated to take the current draw from the 35 coils? Are they Custom Harnesses or have you used standard wiring just altered to bypass the igniter? Mine is a 33 and Im after a whole kit plus a 33 harness.

I think your main concern should be what material is used for the loom for that price mate

One of the benefits is that you eliminate the amp which can become trouble some but also Oem R32/33 coils are now up to 27 years old and tired. R34 coils are good but again their design is from almost 20 years ago.

Having spoken to some specialists in the ECU field in Australia who carried out tests it was confirmed that the Z33/R35 coils are so much better and provide much more current almost double that of the old RB designs. Which probably explains the improvement in throttle response and smoothness during a long road test. We could still play around with dwell times but was advised that at 13.6v there is no point going over 4.5ms as they start to drop off in current.
