Water temp sensors RB26??

On the RB26 there are two water sensors on the body where the top rad hose bolts. One is the same as the air temp sensor an another smaller one? Can someone tell me what the function of each of these in please?

the single pin one is for the gauge and the one that looks like the air temp one is the one for the ecu:thumbsup:

Thanks for the info chaps.. Why could they just not come off the one sensor?!
I am led to believe after reading some posts hot starting problems can be caused buy the water temp sensor playing up? So I assume it is the Airtemp type one. Will have a go swapping it out.

I've just replaced both of mine got both front Nissan for £80! By the looks of it the ecu one wasn't that old so probably a cheap one! Worth going genuine!

Did you have a hot start issue? Did it fix the problem? Is there a way to test them?

Look in the r32 workshop manual, it tells you how to test it.
