You're welcome! Glad to be here :)
Would you do GAP insuramce on a new car which has e.g 20k of aftermarket modifications?

Therefore in the event of a right off you cover the car + the mods in full.

We can cover any/all factory and dealer-fitted accessories/options/mods within the overall policy Claim Limit however those accessories/options/mods would have to either appear on the original Sales Invoice for the car OR on a separate invoice dated the same date as the original Sales Invoice for the car - e.g. the purchase of the car and the accessories/options/mods need really to be part of the same transaction. (We do have the ability to use our own discretion in this regard, but that's the general principle that we work to)

If you buy the car as one transaction and then some time later decide to modify the vehicle, the cost of the modifications would not be part of the equation in terms of any future claim on a GAP insurance policy, but, unlike *some* GAP insurance policies (although granted fewer these days) such modifications would NOT automatically void our policy so long as they're suitably declared to your Motor Insurer etc.
