I have always been lurking around here for many moons waiting..... always enjoyed the banter from outside :)

Now the Zed has gone (almost) its time to get on the next twinturbo'd adventure..

So how much realistically am I looking at paying for a halfway decent and preferably stock (ish!) GTR33v folks?

They seem to be rare on Autotrader and have checked the usual other places - findit, loot etc ...

Anyone know any good ones for sale what sort of prices are realistic?

Thanks folks and keep it physically ironic;)

Glen,

You did it! One spin around the block in a GTR and you're hooked. Guess you can drive your own GTR next time rather than having a go in mine.

Like a Charlie in a Chocolate factory in that car John:)

Hehe John - yeah it was always a matter of when not if - I think the ride in your animal of a car just brought it forward... I have tried to explain to the missis about the twin pop filters on your car, the pops, the bangs and dare I say it the flames but she aint happy about the Batmobile going...

Still it is going to be GTR for me... thanks for that spin John, it really kickstarted it all :)

Drew bud, I am in EastWight with a business in Newport but am an 'overlander' not a born and bred Grockel or what the hell ever they call em ;)

Where were you based here? - you will understand why my Zed had to go (65mm ground clearance and IOW roads!)

Thanks folks - I feel at home already.

Peace.

I lived in Lake but I'm not an islander!!! I think the requirements for that are at least one instance of in-breeding in the family history and at least one facial irregularity - usually buck teeth. Have you noticed that yet!?

Hopefully I won't have offended any islanders on this forum but when I lived there no-one could even afford a beemer nevermind a Skyline!!!

Have you been up & down military road yet? That's gotta be some of the best fun to be had on the island. it's a good 25 mins from end to end at 130 mph and plenty of visibility for blowing all those horse and carts and 'chipped up' fiestas!!!

its a queer old place and no mistake, but the milly road is still there mostly - a large part of it has fallen into the sea so you are OK @ 130mph but any slower and you wont make the jump and like Roscoe P Coltrane, you will end up stuck in a hole.

No worries though - I am planning to fit the Skyline with air-horns that play dixie and let Cooter look after her if she blows a gasket.

Once got whipped by a CB aeriel mounted on a Transit - went to the doctor with the injury, he said it was the worse case of 'VanAeriel Disease' he'd ever seen.

Oh dear.

Ive only been here 2 hours - ill get me coat.

;)

I hope my invite to play the silver ball still stands, Catherines parents are moving to IOW in Sept, so 'the Devil' will be on the Sceptic Isle during that month.

Why is it you don't want to sell that shortened Sierra Cosworth instead then ? Is that R33 that bad ???? ;)

:D thats a good one.... the cossie are faster on the b-road methink. plus it's a beater too... the skyline are wayyy to precious (and expensive) for some "quick nick" on the b-road.

somberg, the shortened sierra (ha ha) is staying, nothing i have owned or driven comes close, performance handling brakes etc, the skyline was only bought to run round in whilst carrying out some mods to the escort , i'm doing more mods shortly so maybe i'll keep it a little longer:D

leyland? Company name Reyland, surname Hadland! My escort never breaks down, well not very often anyway, unlike my previous skyline which broke , clutch , gearbox and damaged the crank and 2 rods all in the short 6 months i owned it!:)

Soz bud

My misunderstanding entirely - had a few sherbets last night and was looking thru the forsale section - there is a purple R33 for sale at 12K and got my wires crossed thinking it was the same car you are selling.

Kinda meant 16K was a lot of dollar in the sense of money and not Skylines matey;)
