I found this topic on the EVO Magazine forum on the net. I thought it would be worthy of a topic on here to. So then what car(S) do your parents drive?
I'll start off. My dad drives a 1989 Red Nissan Bluebird 1.8GS. Body coloured bumpers saying its a Bluebird;)
I think its quite a nice looking car really. It has NISSAN wrote across the back windowscreen.
So what do your parents drive?

What car!

My dad drives a Red, 190E Merc ! Not a bad car, however Im trying to convince him to get a SLK *tee hee* so that I can have a go.

Took him out in Fuggles Skyline - poor ole dad thought that 30mph was way too fast. I guess it was the noise of the engine that gave him the willies!! :p I also took him out in the Caterham 7 (that I once had) it took ages getting him into the car, not to mention the struggle get out, still we had a larff. Bless him he's 73yrs old !!

Dad

My dad came with me for the foodfest at the Grasshopper in December:D
He drives a low mileage Nissan Micra (baby skyline). it is a 1.0l I think.
I have not driven him fast as he has a bad neck (from whiplash 20 years ago). If I booted it, his head might fall off:p
He is 79 by the way.

Some of my old mans list of cars is wicked.....

Fully road legalised ex Hot-rod Mini with FULL engine rebuild dynoed at 228 bhp at the front wheels. He's also had a blueprinted 230+bhp montego turbo (crazy torque steer). His only jap metal was a 3.0l V6 mitsubishi Sigma....

But now he drives a UR Quattro. the first of only 5 right hand Drive Treser Quattro's ever made - and the first to come into this country. Full treser setup (including engine), interior and bodykit, but with a Group B rear spoiler. Treser wheels are not on the car though...they're stored elsewhere. The car runs at 1.1 bar and is estimated (by Quattro Sport) to be around 280bhp and similar torque. Lovely car...

As for me mam, she sold her 220GTI Rover a while back and now drives a Toyota Corolla.

I'll shut up now !

Pug 106...

ZEST for the mother and dad used to have an escort diesel van.
Boy that shifted during regular road rage through london.

Had a supra 3.0 turbos before that and celica 2.0 gt.

My fave of his was the Cortina 2.0s with black midrift. More oversteer than Stig Blomqvuist!

My parents cars

Well my dad currently has a Rover 420 GSi Sport, he used to have a MG Montego EFi & we used to have great fun on the open roads with him in that and me in my old 240bhp MG Maestro Turbo (that was when I could keep my Maestro Turbo in a straight line !) & as for my mum, just a plain 'S' reg Nissan Micra Alley i'm afraid !

My dad refuses to drive my Skyline ! 'it's too big and too low down' he keeps telling me, I wish he knew what he was missing !

Parents Car

My dad has always had Datsuns 100a/120Y/ And a Nissan Bluebird new from 1989. He still drives it now with 170,000 miles on the clock. He has it serviced regular, and only used the normal comsumerbles. He is still on the original clutch. A good advertisement for Nissan cars i think, Because of this I have had a Nissan 120Y, Nissan Stanza, Bluebird ZX Turbo.Sunny GTI-R(Nicked). And still continuing with the family tradition.

M & Ds Cars...

Dad - MGF VVC .. Trying to relive his youth...

Mom - X Type Jag ... For when they go to take teh gardening to the tip....

The sad thing is they are both BRG... Oops

The question is though, except for the minority - your parents drive fairly mundain cars... So what has happened to everyone.

Did we get so board when little at everyone elses parents driving nice cars that in later life we are all rebelling ????

Just a though - Most things are normally inspired by ones parents .. Not cars mind...
