Just wondering as you all seem to be much more knowledgable than myself on all matters skyline. As you may be aware due to my various posts, that i am currently looking to purchase a skyline.
The following is a spec of a car i have seen and been offered but im not sure what price i should be looking to pay for this, and was hoping for some feedback.

Skyline R33 Gtr V-Spec (UK Car - 1998)
Dark Marine Blue
6 Pot Brakes
Nismo Sports 2 Wheels 18x10
Carbon Rear Wing
Nismo Front Spliter
Leather Interior on Sports seats
360 Chip
HKS Exhaust (Super Dragger i think)
HKS Powerflows
HKS Dump Valves
All metal downpipes to Turbos
Polished Chrome HKS Rocker cover
Nismo engine trimmings (oil cap + raditor cap)
Nismo Carbon Gear shift
Nismo Steering Wheel
Has had the dash removed and fitted with a carbon dash
Nismo Rear Flares
Lowered Suspension
Xenon Headlights
Larger intercooler (i think)

Now this was a uk sold car and i am told that the Middlehurts can confirm that the mileage is a genuine 8K on the clock.

The gentleman in question is asking for 28k for it, which seems a bit high to me, i was thinking it was worth more in the region of
24k.
Has no auxillary gauges or meters installed.

Any ideas? help? or advice would be appreciated as this will be the first skyline im going to purchase and i dont want to make a mess of the job :(

Many thanks for help and advice

Not in the northwest (mostly), but in Bristol (not low risk!), younger than you with less NCB and paying ~£1300 with stage 1 mods declared to Tesco's... Best off getting an online quote then ringing and increasing the XS a little - that way you get the online discount and lower price!

I'd say that given the extras (ie Leather, Wheels, etc) then £24k seems fair.

Yes i think 24k is fair but he seems to think its more around 28k which im thinking is too high.

Yes most insurance quotes coming back 2k now hehe after i tried some of the more specialist people

Yep I think £24k is fair, I paid considerably less than that for a 1998 car (import) with 24k miles and similar mods but no big wheels, leather or carbon goodies (which are worth having IMHO!)... I think £28k sounds a little dear, I think steve on this forum was selling a 500+bhp car for £28k.

I thought that the UK cars never came with Xenons?? Can anyone confirm this??

Also how come it has no auxilary gauges???

And by the way, nice choice in colour if you did have that in mind. IMO you gotta see it in the flesh to fully appreciate it!!!

No hes had the Xenons added on later,
and i have seen the car in the flesh its very nice,
but still seems over priced.

p.s i love the color myself

Oh the reason it has no auxillary gauges is that he hasnt added them, by auxillary i mean things like
exhaust temp gauge , boost, air/fuel mixture, etc..
and no ECU upgrade either but i would try to get those things done i hope.

Hi Ahmed,

If the car has genuine 8K miles, then I would think that the asking price of £28K may be a little over priced. I would expect it to probably be around 26K.
There was 2 Deep Marine Blue R33 GTR's, at Middlehurst a few months ago. 1 was pretty much stock (the owner is now on here), and the other one had 400BHP. These were both for sale at £28,995 late last year, but the prices were both reduced to £25K, not so long after.
I think you could knock the price down a little bit :)

Good luck!

Thanks Elliot,
That kind of helps me make my decision, as i am very apprehensive to spend more than 24-25k on a R33.
Have had a number of people tell me now that its over priced so i guess, that should be enough to persuade me.

Thanks

Yeah hes up here near middlehurst mate,

*scratches head* im soo confused what to do,
seems im getting absolutely HUGE insurance quotes 2k+
when i thought the reason i was driving so safe and well for the last 8 years was so that as i turn 25 (in 4 weeks) i would get good premiums :(

And now finding a car is turning into a nightmare hehe... :smokin:

I kinda not sure what to do now

I have had the privilige of driving this car as the owner is a friend of mine. This car has had thousands of pounds spent on it, and the milage is very genuine. The car is in A1+ condition and I would advise seeing the car if you have not yet.

Ahhh Deep Marine Blue

see this link

http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/upload/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4557

my purchase price was closer to 20k. Note however that she was unmodified (...except for the Nismo Oil Cap:D ) as I wanted to go through the mods at my own pace and of my own choice.

If you want a modified car and the mods on this car would have been your choice, then it might be worth doing the maths to see how the price stacks up...

good luck - stick with the blue;)
