I was about to leave work today and ran into a problem. I pressed the clutch pedal and heard a loud "POW!" The clutch pedal just dropped to the floor. I have been driving manual tranny cars for years but I've never worked on one. We got the car up on the lift and found this broken bolt on the clip that sits in the fork. I ordered the part today but had to use pictures to explain what I needed. What is the official name of the bolt? Also, how difficult will it be to replace? Is there a write-up for removing the gts-4 manual tranny?

the Nismo version of that is supposedly stronger and runs about $25. I put one in just in case...

I'll only have this car for another 10 months or so. I lost about $10,000 USD in the blink of an eye when I wrecked my 300ZX Twin Turbo. I'm looking to spend the least amount of money possible over the next 10 months. I just ordered a stock one for about $8.

Is it just me or does that just look like the pushrod on the clutch slave cylinder has snapped? In which case it would be two bolts to remove the cylinder and a banjo bolt to remove the fluid feed pipes. Doesn't look like a gearbox removal job to me.

Edit: Looking at it again it is the knuckle bolt that sits inside the gearbox thats snapped off.. in that case it is a bigger job and the gearbox does need to come out..

Do you happen to have a write-up (or at least the basics) on removing the all wheel drive tranny? Fluids to drain, parts to remove, what to bleed when refilling, what to use to refill, & any special tips would be great!
