Yes Time Attack and D1GB is on August 20th, cheers Daz.

Time Attack is gathering pace now as the definitive on-track race meeting for our top tuners and club challenge guys. So far we have visited Donington (test/media day) Rockingham ( http://www.timeattack.co.uk/round_1_timeattack_results.asp ) , Silverstone ( http://www.timeattack.co.uk/round2_results.asp ) and Knockhill. We return to Silverstone on the 20th August to again attack the National Circuit with the guys out to improve there lap times. At Knockhill ( http://www.timeattack.co.uk/round3 results.asp ) we added a discipline called 'SuperBattle' which means the top guys from TA Pro and TACC have a 15 minute open pitlane/track session to determine who can produce the fastest laptime, the drivers can complete one lap or stay out for the whole 15minutes if tyres they use require more tyre temperatue. This proved brilliant as it allows the guys with lesser power the opportunity to warm tyres and produce faster laps. This will be another enhancement to the August 20th event and the drivers are looking forward to it.

I had a chat with Simon Norris about the TA Series at Knockhill and he's really into it saying the tracktime he has is brilliant and the development of not only his car, but also his driving skills :D , have improved immensely. It's important we give the drivers a level playing field to compete on and the circuits we visit provide this for them. All the drivers that enter enjoy the events and look forward to competing at the next one so we must be doing something right  .

All TA timing is carried out professionally by www.msttiming.com and at each event they provide the drivers with lap times, split times, top speeds etc., by utilising transponders. They also put all timings and results up on the www which is pretty cool :) .

Our D1GB National Drift Championship is gathering momentum with the points table being very close. The last event at Knockhill was the first time pro Drifting had been taken North of the Border ( http://www.d1gb.co.uk/reportround3.asp ) and was brilliant with drivers and fans alike enjoying the event ( http://www.d1gb.co.uk/round 3 gallery.asp . )

Here are some pics form Silverstone http://www.d1gb.co.uk/round 2 gallery.asp and Rockingham http://www.d1gb.co.uk/round 1 gallery.asp

The top 5 point scoring D1GB drivers at the end of the season will be taken to Irwindale in Los Angeles in December to compete against the top professional Japanese, American, New Zealand etc., drivers in a World Series event so the Championship is being hard fought with two rounds to go http://www.d1gb.co.uk/points_table.asp . I am sure our drivers will be ultra competitive in Irwindale and look forward to seeing them racing against all the other countries top drivers. No other Series/Championship in our scene has ever staged an event like this and I'll certainly be cheering them on and supporting them trackside.

It goes without saying facilities at Silverstone are superb and customers that book early receive a seat in the BRDC Stand which is the best view for Drift and TA. As far as I know John Fuggles is arranging a Club stand but he will have to confrim this.

Bye for now.

Glen
ps. rumour has it that a certain Mr. Mark Gillam is entering at Silverstone

Glen - I'm just sorry I haven't managed to make it to a round yet...there's always been something that clashes or somethings happened meaning I've not been able to make it.

I am going to do everything I can to be at Round 5.

I'm glad it's all proving to be popular mate.

Rob,theres always 10-15bhp increase chips and go faster stripes on Ebay :)

For some reason us photographic types always find your car really easy to capture. Might just be a speed related thing :p
