hi just a quick question thinking of adding a cage to my R32GTR

just wondered if there was any rule's against crome plated cages/powder coate'd/fabric covered

just thinking maybe the plating/coating would reduce strenth or disqualify the car from racing in some way

thanx

Look HERE. Link to MSA 'blue book' rules and regs. Should tell you ALL you need to about UK regs for every class of motorsport. Its a bit chewy if your not used to cross-referencing etc but you'll get there in the end. Might be easier to contact whoever it is that is organising your series/event and ask them directly.

You could do a lot worse than contact Andy Robinson -www.robinson-race-cars.co.uk they will build you a cage to comply with whatever type of competition/rules you have in mind. They help write the rules... and be careful a lot of cages don't comply on diameter / wall thickness / design - don't waste your money on a non-compliant cage.

They built my half cage to comply with MSA rules down to 9.99s and it is very neat and features a removable cross brace and full harness so as to retain full use of the rear seat. Lower than 9.99s and you will need a full through dash cage.
