Thats shouldn't be allowed,as its giving a bad name to skylines,as an integra(no offence)isnt't in the same perfromance calibur as the GT-r,so peolpe that beat that guy might think that they beat a genuine GTR33.
Its sad to be something your not!(trust me I know)

Silly guy should be shot!:smokin:

Thanks

Because they are AR$EH0LE$!!!

Have you seen the amount of Skyline headlights and rearlights for sale on e-bay. They fetch good money - soon some more AR$EH0LE$ will be car jacking GTR's just for the lights, badges and spoilers.

Copying IS the highest form of flattery.

The guy likes Skylines obviously and so put a lot of effort, time and money into making his car a baby R34. I don't see the problem.
It is highly unlikely that someone will mistake it for a genuine R34 (due to its funny proportions anyway).

I'm surprised no one here said the obvious one yet... "with all that money spent he coulave bought a real skyline"

Well, the answer is that usually cars like that are built over time, with money being put into them slowly.. and many times after winning a few awards get ripped apart and re-done completely differently. The judges at shows in the US are extremely harsh, and it's almost impossible to be featured or to win anything unless you have drastic mods.. which don't always look too good!

Come to think of it, that car is almost an exact replica (or is it the other way round) of that 3D animated police chase video clip. "Extreme Limit". You know the one with a 911 porsche and the policewoman by the roadside.

I think I read about this guy in one of the Max-flower magazines a bit ago. One of the reasons he gave for doing it was that he couldn't afford to import an R34 so he did the next best thing. It was a hell of a lot of work too.

Shame though as the integra is a great looking car.

I'm sorry but as a GT-R owner, a long time enthusiast of the badge and someone that appreciates the long history and success of GT-Rs I personally find that disgusting and almost offensive!

I'm very sure that for the money this guy wasted he could have had himself a mint BNR32 no problem!

Sorry to all our US colleagues here but, at the end of the day he is an American with no understanding of the car, badge and history. He should be shot.

guy is obviously a total fooking pikey and a complete retard when it comes to cars.

seems he is trying to mimick the fast n furious R34, but he aint got the cash, got a bad copy of the trailer and lives in a trailer himself.

Also I think its each to their own, I think we had a discussion before about the amount of money that these young fellas put into Corsas & Novas etc etc.
Individuality my friends.... nothing wrong with it!

I'm surprised by the reaction that brought about. Judging by some of the threads seen on the forum, theres an awful lot of folks around who couldn't do what this guy did. Not without waving their wallets around anyway.
Did everyone here pass their test and buy a Skyline? Didn't anyone else get a car and transform it into their 'dream'? (And totally mess it up!) or did most graduate through standard mini, standard escort, standard GTi, then their Skyline.

Got to admit the red one is pretty grim though.....

Answered that with my first reply to your post! Were you in such a hurry to reply :D Nobody reviews a car, nor gives it a second look at a car show unless it has *extreme* mods. Most judges at car shows would walk by a BNR32 like as if it was an 80s Corolla. Remember Craig Lieberman explaining his R34?

These people don't care about heritage, history bla bla. It's all about winning shows and getting reviewed.

As for nicking badges, I think that you should all wake up a bit. If a badge is nice looking it WILL be nicked regardless. Heck people even nick ugly badges just 'coz! Nobody used Mercedes badges at car shows, yet people nicked them all the time (you know the 3D love-n-peace ones that were on the hood of 80s Mercedes).

Besides... GT-R badges cost about $6 in the US and can be found at *any* car accessory shop (Autozone, PepBoys etc...). APC makes amazingly good copies that look just like the original.

I don't get it sometimes. Everyone's proud to own a GT-R and wants all the advatages like respect, high value etc.. and then complain about the exact same factors! Of course when actually *buying* one  everyone wants the best value.. And when someone copies one out of respect, sacrilege! ;) Owners like them 'coz they're unique and then they whine 'coz spare parts are hard to get.. A skyline is a package. Has lots of good points and a few bad ones. Accept it for what it is.

To each his own. I don't laugh at fellow Skyliners 'coz they have ugly looking mods (and these people do exist!). Individuality and taste. I prefer to set myself aside from the norm with engine mods, some people prefer bodykitss, some like ICE, some like extreme mods..

Oh, and imagine now that this guy comes across this thread. Think about it, *genuine* GT-R owners with their knickers in a twist all just for him. I bet that'll bring him pleasure!
