Yeah, that... why?

Why build a "high performance" R34 GTT with 280ps and huge 4pod brakes in front and only use DOT 3 fluid???

It makes no sence...
I am about to change it next weekend to 5.1 so it's ok if you don't comment, not really looking for advice, but it would be nice to hear your thoughts.

p.s. is there any specific brand that I should stay clear of?

A lot of the highest dry boiling point fluids are DOT 3. The "DOT" number covers a plethora of things, inclusing lubricity, very low temp viscosity, blah blah. As a driver of a car that has brakes that are pretty inadequate for its weight and performance, and definitely so on track, you really only need concern yourself with dry boiling point, change the fluid regualry and to ignore the DOT number, except for totally avoiding the silicone based DOT5 stuff, which WILL NOT mix with any other DOT number.
