I was thinking of fabricating this cold air intake for my GTR.The two 76mm intake would turn into one 127 mm pipe and do a 90 degree turn down into the bumper.I would have to cut a hole for the 127mm pipe though. The intercooler pipe might be in the way so I might have to build around it.What are some thoughts about this design I made?

Seems like a lot of trouble for a bit more air flow.

You not thought about a NACA duct in the bonnet or are you after retaining the stock look?

I've done similar on mine although I use the whole underwing area as an airbox on my RS13. I use a simple baffle plate in front of the filter as I found that water tended to make the K&N wet over a long drive in torrential rain.

I have a 76mm pipe leading to each turbo which joins into a single 76mm to go through the wing and down to the filter but I'll be ditching that arrangement in favour of a larger bore single pipe and filter for my new build. 127mm is pretty large for a a filter intake, what type of filter are you using out of interest :)
