hello all, some of you may know me/my car, and the fact it let go last week at snetterton after a years hard thrashing!
so, in order to keep "downtime" to a minimum i have decided to do 2 engine builds at the same time.
1st one is to repair current engine with very similar mods to engine no.2 but without forged bottom end.
2nd engine, fully forged bottom and with Tomei 270 cams and ATI harmonic damper pulley, HKS 25-30 turbos - plus a few other goodies
built and fully balanced to 9000rpm.
as **** begleys car is my idea of the perfect skyline I.e full road going trim but an awesome track weapon capable of entering time attack eventually, this is my schedule of works.
the nice chaps at STP, Smooth Torque of Preston are doing the work and advice is being taken from some members on here! which is great, thanks guys.
to summerise:-
• Relocate Oil Filter to under car with custom kit using HKS filter housing
• Replace oil cooler – with larger 20 row core
• Weld up sump plug hole, re-drill for new sump plug, in better place
• custom Sump protection kit. 2+2 bars with lower bracing. STP made
• Head & Block Stud kit
• Air Con Radiator re-placement.
• Drain out gearbox oil, replace with redline shock
• Change rear Diff Oil
• Install new HKS fuel Rail - 1000cc
• Front Suspension Bush Kit including adjustable camber arms
• FIA approved racing harness and new cross section for roll cage
• Oil temp Gauge – to replace stock item
• Engine damper
• more "antii parachute" vents - my design
• custom front splitter to my design - STP made
• Custom “Tow-Eye” kit – removable - STP made
• Special lightened and balanced lower front pulley

fully Ported, Polished & flowed head inlet & outlets - STP
Tomei down pipes
Tomei hi-flow turbo manifolds
new oil pump - make to be decided upon
hybrid 28-71r roller bearing turbos (yet to be tested for power)
complete re-map including "cruise" map for motorway driving -
STP custom made removable "tow eye"for track days
engine detailing inlcuding polishing
custom vented spark plug cover - STP
new look engine colours scheme
should be back up and running within 2 weeks! result......
