Hi Guys,

Any of you ever used ZX1 Extralube ?

Supposedly _VERY_ good. Similar principle to slick50 i believe in that you add it to your oil and then it coats everything, and supposedly lasts for 30k or so before you need to do it again.

I think the basic principle is that it coats everything (pistons, etc) to reduce friction.

Apparently it's particularly useful on turbo cars - as it helps protect the turbo bearings ?

If anyone has used it, or knows anything about it, please post something up - as i'm thinking of giving it a go.

Cheers,

Used!

Daz,

Used it on my Big BHP Escort cossie mate, and TBH could not tell any difference, but i was using Castrol Rs 10w60 oil as well, which is one of the best on the market, IMHO...

So i tried another bottle on a "tuned" corsa TD i had at the time, again it was not quieter but ran a little smoother...
BTW Before you say anything i cannot leave "anything" standard...:p :D

Cheers

Cheers for that Stu.

Not really looking for a performance gain, more a engine preserving thing. It's supposed to drastically reduce friction, and therefore ware and tare, along with MANY other things....

I believe it's used rather widely in many forms of motorsport (cars, bikes and boats !).

I'll wait until i hear more before i decide what to do.

Cheers,

Suggestion!

Daz,

I think what i was trying to say is that is you use a good quality synthetic oil that is negativly charged, ala Magnatec then this should eliminate the use of these friction enhancers...

Another good oil to try BTW is Sikolene Gti Turbolene 15w50 and comes highly recommended...

BTW Last time i looked there was a large list of these products all claiming the same things!

I would be very sceptical until conclusive proof is provided!

My 0.02p HTH..

Cheers

Oki, understood :)

Abbey do everything to my motor, so i know that a quality oil is used. So i guess i can probably strike it off my "list" !

Cheers Stu.
