Just quickly

again, justed popped back in to sort some emails, cheers everyone.

Torque figure, well tractive effort is 2380lbs of tractive effort which is 515lbs or thereabouts which is exactly the same as previous. Obviously the tractive effort/torque will increase when we wind up the boost so extremely pleased that we have been able to maintain it as we are now, being that previously we had run the car at 1.3bar of boost to get the circa 720bhp figure from a month ago.

Engine still runs HKS 28/35 turbines and still 2.6 abeit we have changed a couple more things and to the V Pro.

We will be at Billing this weekend as will the car, trade stand and all, just having a load up of the gear tonight/tomm including the barby and beers, looking forward to a rest and then back at it all next week to finally get it nearer to being finished although at this point there are some details which are obvious we cannot finish by next weekend but will be after TOTB ready for Santa Pod but fick it, when can only do what we can do.

One other thing Gary said last night on the first drag start ' ficking hell this is easy low tens', on the second darg run ' fick that, its not you know, its 9's' - Should have asked him for a guarantee, lol.

Just need to start working out on my forearms as need more muscle to hold the steering wheel straight.

Also just realised, its 850ps, now that figure looks serious and into the eights - well, for a little while:D

Been going over the figures ( the calculated ones ) for the engine and spec and previous runs etc etc, in theory, if we continued as we are, at 1.8bar we could see 997bhp fly!!!!, nice little dream but wont get too used to the idea, 890 is still the target i want to reach and I think we can no problem, but no chicken counting just yet although an air of confidence is building in the Sumo camp.

Got videos and pictures ( on dyno ), will throw some up next week if I can.

NOT ONCE HAVE I USED NOS, STILL NOT INSTALLED - YET.

hi andy , hugh had over 540 torque i think the last time God that was fast , is he going down guys, will be joy to watch :)

it will be cool to see a few scots down their , it will be awesome

Nice stuff :D

P.S When will the SumoPower site be ready? I wanna check out the HKS Super Evo 6, too :D

Well done guys great result!! Nice to see a diary of posts as the project progresses.
Have you got all the fueling to run up to 2 bar? Also are you running water? Because it could get kinda hot on the TOTB day.

Congrats on the results, Andy. Sounds like everything is working out awesome.

By the way, as the last thread was closed, why not have another arguement :- 565 bhp at the wheels is 773 bhp at the fly using G Force estimate, how cool is that eh and I still have 0.7bar left. 773bhp on optimax.
Good to know that this is the conversion factor as I'm putting out 800hp at the wheels at 26psi on pump gas. You do the math. ;)

Cya O!

Surely you can't be sure about those figures though Dirk as it wasn't done on a Dynopak !

I mean we all know they're the cream of the dyno crop don't we ??? :D

not bad Andy , how far are you going to go until you change to C16 or similar?

instead of trying to compare figures from different dynos ( cause it always ends in the thread being locked) , just compare weight vs trap speed .

just for the record , the most power I have witnessed at " low boost " , (14 psi) is 680hp at the axles on a dynapack . that is with standard displacement :) but it was with C16 .

Well done Andy, you have got to be feeling good seeing the fruits of your labour, look forward to meeting you and the car at TOTB, just dont break before then :D

Yes, we have the fueling for 2 bar. The car has 1000cc injectors and twin Bosch fuel pumps running from a custom swirl pot and dash 8 and 10 goodridge hoses ( we have another 2 pumps but we have not required them, but if we do they will be tapped in ).

Running water? yes on this engine we are.

Hippo, G Force/dyno dynamics use a conversion figure of 27% to give an estimate of flywheel figures but its only an estimate but its done with all 4 wheels bolted on so its a start:)

Canman, yeah right-o, :D

hang on bet she flies

mmm will see 1000 brake with nos bring it on !!!!

it is amazing with no noz and not full power
