Normal things to check first are plugs, coils and air leaks. More often than not its one of those.

 

was going to do all 3 tomorrow, dont think it would be an air leak as its fine until i boot it, on a brief check under the bonnet the fuel filter did look old so gonna try that and maybe some redex to clear the injectors out

 

Ok so plugs look good , all coils are sparking, there does seem to be a earth cable that looks in a bad way? Could that be the fault, its on a plug next to the ignition amp ?

 

Just noticed this is in wrong area , could admin please move it?

 

Ok I have an update, just read the ecu and code 55-all ok is displayed, now I'm really stuck

 

Check your boost hoses for splits or even if they are hanging off. .

 

Already checked mate not havinf much luck with this one lol

 

Just checked boost hoses and clips again and all looks ok :/

 

Is it worth checking the afm?

 

I dunno how to check? Don't wanna spend a fortune on something i dont need

 

When doing my afm I sprayed some carb cleaner through it and that cleaned it out.

Iv just had a search around for you and there was a guy with a 32 gtst and his hesitation was related to the following I no it's not the afm but worth a check:

"I took the coil pack wiring loom off into the house to check for breaks/shorts, thats when i noticed the actual plug casings had degraded so much that there was arcing/shorting or something going on (blackened wiring) because in the plugs the plastic that separates the connectors had split showing bare metal, got a few new ones and its been fine ever since. have a look you never know."

 

Cheers for finding that , I will check the loom tomorrow and will try cleaning the amf, will post the results

 

Problem solved , I needed to clean the afm, new air filter needed, cheers for everyone's help

Me too , was not expecting a problem to develop after 1 day of owning her lol

 

To be honest its a bit confusing as it says technical chat in the gtr section but not on the skyline section ? Could be worth a look to stop the confusion
