Been working on Legans (sky 1t) R34, boost just doesn't seem to be controlling, what is the maximum boost level you should see on an R34 with only exhaust and filter mods? Even with the boost controller off it peaks at 1.18 bar. It also runs a little weird too, below around 6kRPM maximum boost around 0.80 bar, after this you get a surge in boost where it reaches 1.18 bar. Something not quite right or is this normal?

Yes, I think so, but I can't understand why it happens on a relatively stock 34 GTR running standard turbos. Is this boost creep common? I suppose only way to resolve is to open up wastegate port, wonder if the actuators are sticking and not fully opening up the wastegates. Think I'll have to manually lock open the wastegate to see if it makes a difference.

So what stock boost levels do you normally see, it will be less than 1 bar innit?

innit........LOL.

If the exhaust you are running is a very free flowing system your have boost creep troubles, as you say the wastegate ports are too small. We feel removing the blowers to just open up the ports and refit is a waste of time , if your going to remove them fit a better set of blowers.

We just fit a restrictor plate before the de-cat pipe or fit a racing cat both of these will cure the problem.

OK, fitting a new set of blowers is out of the question, too expensive. Refitting the cats is a logical first step as the car IIRC doesn't have the cats on. Thanks for your advice Mark
