how many KGs can be saved if i had a set of 18" TE37's over a set of std R33 GTR wheels?

I know the volk wheels are light, but how much do teh R33 GTR wheels weigh?

Never mind all that weight saving rubbish, just think how cool a phat set of TE37s would look. :D ;)

I'm afraid I can't answer your question directly, but I was surprised at how heavy my TE37s were, but then they are massive and I am weedy. :p

May not be as much as you think, don't forget there is more metal in the 18s. The mag ones are a lot lighter but not great if you hit potholes! It's definitely worth seeking out lighter wheels if you can though. My 18" OZ Superleggera are lighter than the stock 16" units on my GT4, the superleggera is a very light design. I really wanted some Advan model 6 as they are also v light (hollow spokes IIRC) but couldn't find the right offset etc for the '4.

AFAIK CE28n's are lighter.

I think DCD weighed them in 19x9.5J size with the stock R34 wheels, and they were lighter considering the extra inch in diameter plus 0.5" width

Yep they were, 9.0Kg vs 9.3 for the stock 18s. TE37s wuld have been more than half a Kg heavier, hence why I had to go for the CEs(and the fact that they are not owned by 90% of the GTR owning public:D)
There was an article in a mag down here on this subject.

There were some nice shots of your car in it as well.

Just wondering whether you are aware or not :)
